ROPE RESCUE: Oakville Fire Dept rescued ‘Sparky’ a 3 y/o golden retriever & his owner during almost 2 hour high-angle rope rescue, after the pair became stranded partway down a 60’ steep muddy embankment in a remote section of Sixteen Mile Creek Trail. Both unijured, but thirsty!

The #MemorialRideToOttawa2021 made a stop earlier today with Oakville Fire Dept. Firefighters riding 550KM to help raise funds and awareness for CFFF.

The good news: A new therapy for ALS is with Health Canada for review. The bad news: The review will take 1 year as the priority 6-month review was rejected. Please reconsider, Health Canada and PHAC. ALS patients don’t have the luxury of time. #EndALS
