Dave Clark Thanks Dave Clark & Marvin Taylor - I had the pleasure to spend four hours during #i2k202 Janelia Conferences learning about #BiofilmQ with Hannah Jeckel and fellow instructors. It's a very cool & powerful software package. Knut Drescher group at leading edge, once again!

I really enjoyed this workshop and I´m so glad to hear that I was not the only one. For anyone who missed it - a recording will be online soon :)

Thrilled to see my first first-author paper on light sheet microscopy published! We improved axial plane optical microscopy by implementing digital confocal slit scanning and carefull objective selection, the DC-APOM! (1/4) doi.org/10.1364/BOE.42…

What distinguishes biofilms of different bacterial species, what do they have in common? Can we isolate the properties impacting biofilm structure? Teaming up with the Dunkel group at MIT, we set out to explore these questions. The result is now on BioRxiv:doi.org/10.1101/2021.0…

In saliva of toddlers with severe childhood tooth decay, we found interkingdom biofilm assemblages. They are stickier, more antimicrobial resistant, more difficult to remove from teeth than either bacteria or fungi alone. And they can crawl across teeth!👇 pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…
