We're now a quarter of the way to getting the 10,000 signatures we need to get a Government response to this petition. Can we get some of the big names in the history world to share it? In about six weeks, it might be too late! Retweets please... 🙂 petition.parliament.uk/petitions/6540…

Mary Ward’s C17th Paternoster Bead is made of carved wood, & is the only one of its kind. It's engraved with notches & grooves which were likely used to assist prayer & meditation. It was with members of Mary Ward’s order in Germany before being donated to the Bar Convent in 1967

So delighted to represent The Bar Convent at the Royal Historical Society study day in University of York yesterday! A fantastic day with wide ranging and thought provoking conversation about why history matters and how we can communicate it. Let’s keep talking!

Simply unacceptable. Wales cannot lose the flagship building of its National Museum. Our Museum. This is a line in the sand. If you allow this pillar of our society and heritage to die you will never get it back. Protect her. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Petition: Increase, don’t cut, funding for the National Library, Amgueddfa Cymru and the Royal Commission "We call upon the Welsh Government to increase spending on institutions that safeguard the heritage and history of Wales instead of cutting funding." petitions.senedd.wales/petitions/2460…

And not only the heritage of Wales: National Museums Wales boasts one of Europe’s finest art collections: it would be a travesty to close it.

It’s been so weird seeing myself on screen, but you can see me talking about the impact of Margaret’s horrific death on the Catholic community in York in this episode 👇🏻 it was an amazing experience, and Lucy Worsley was as wonderful as expected!
