Really proud to have been part of the I'm a Scientist Team Psychology Zone over the past month! I had such a great time talking to the students and they asked some brilliant questions. Congratulations to the winner Dr Reece Bush-Evans 🏳️🌈. No one was a match for his insane typing speed.
After presenting my talk on "A Qualitative Analysis on the Perceptions of Cyberbullying" at School of Psychology, University of Nottingham seminar series this afternoon, my partner treated me to a chocolate fondue followed by a walk to see my favourite highland cattle! #AcademicChatter Nottingham Research #PhdChat

It was lovely to receive the I'm a Scientist Team certificate and mug in the post today! I had a brilliant time answering students' questions and I would recommend taking part in the Psychology Zone! Thanks to British Psychological Society for funding the zone.

If anyone has any spare time please consider taking part in this study for a master's student. They only have a few weeks to collect data for their dissertation, which is about the emotional perception of text conversations. nottinghampsych.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bf… #AcademicTwitter #Psychology
It's always nice to end a year with a publication, and I really enjoyed being involved with this project. If anyone is interested in emojis, autism, attachment, and alexithymia, please have a read: doi.org/10.1080/104473… Nottingham Research School of Psychology, University of Nottingham
Our latest #emoji paper - Autism, Attachment, and Alexithymia: Investigating Emoji Comprehension - is now available for free in the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction! #OpenAccess Dr Hannah Howman School of Education School of Psychology, University of Nottingham🧵1/7
If people have 20-30 mins to spare please consider taking part in this student's study. She hit a few unanticipated problems so has less time to collect data than expected. It's about individual differences in language comprehension and use. Link: nottinghampsych.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_e5…
After starting my PhD way back in Oct 2018, I can finally say that I have finished writing the thesis and this afternoon I submitted it! Apologies in advance to my examiners for having to read it (please don't hate me). School of Psychology, University of Nottingham @uonesrcdtp #phdlife #AcademicTwitter
Last week I successfully defended my thesis pending minor corrections, which means I'm one step closer to being #PhdDone. It's been a long time coming but thanks to Lizzy Sheppard from School of Psychology, University of Nottingham and Lucy Betts for being my examiners, and to the Economic and Social Research Council for funding my research.
