Great to see this together and been able to share our recent story biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Result of a terrific collaboration with many groups, first and foremost HI-STEM - Cancer and Stem Cells in Heidelberg, and spearheded by Hamed Alborzinia and our PhD student notwitter Zhiyi Chen and Umut Yildiz.

New study from members of our consortia #spp2306 HI-STEM - Cancer and Stem Cells in Heidelberg José Pedro Friedmann Angeli Hamed Alborzinia identifying #selenocysteine uptake mechanism as a novel vulnerability in #neuroblastoma - check this out! #ferroptosis #celldeath #metabolism DFG public | @[email protected]

Very happy to see yu wei zhang PhD thesis MPI of Immunobiology & Epigenetics on the regulation of human dormant HSCs just online in Nature Cell Biology! Huge congrats Yu Wei! And HUGE thanks to all our collaborators :) nature.com/articles/s4155…

Highly recommended review about metabolism in HSCs by Keisuke and Claudia! Keisuke_Ito_Lab (Old)! Very happy to be part of the team :)))

🚨🚨Our mini-review is out🚨🚨 Congratulation to Thamara Nishida and Irina Ingold #notwitter for putting this together portlandpress.com/biochemsoctran… thank you James Murphy for the invitation to contribute to the special issue on cell death Portland Press #ferroptosis #Gpx4 #shortform🫠

Scientists of Universität Würzburg #UniWürzburg, DKFZ and HI-STEM - Cancer and Stem Cells in Heidelberg have found that a precursor of cholesterol protects #cancer cells from cell death and makes them aggressive. The results opens up exciting prospects for further improving the treatment of cancer. nature ➡️ t1p.de/o4h24

Delighted to be part of this awesome study! Huge congrats to José Pedro Friedmann Angeli lab and all co-authors. A big thanks to the HI-STEM - Cancer and Stem Cells in Heidelberg lab and colleagues at DKFZ. 🎉🎉🎉🥳

Thank you, Cancer Discovery and Elizabeth McKenna, for highlighting our recent work showing that 7-DHC protects cells from #ferroptosis 🤗 @RVZ_Wuerzburg DFG public | @[email protected] Ferroptosis (SPP 2306)
