The Editorial and Advisory committees for the ‘HAKI JOURNAL’ today met to deliberate on the theme for the 3rd Issue. The journal is a co-creation between the University of Nairobi and KNCHR and it’s meant to harness the strengths of academicians and practitioners in promotion of Rights.

Celebrating #EarthDay2024 is not just about appreciating the beauty of our planet, but also recognizing the inherent rights of all its inhabitants.

KNCHR Kisumu office joined other actors County Government of Vihiga @TisaKenya WHH Kenya - Welthungerhilfe Zero Hunger Initiative in championing for the right to food during the #regionaldialogue . KNCHR participated in the panel discussion focused on accountability, enforcement, building awareness and advocacy.

KNCHR chairperson joined Office of The Director Of Public Prosecutions and other actors during the reopening of the Nyando Social Justice Centre. In her remarks, the Chairperson appreciated the role of grassroot HRDs in protecting human rights.

KNCHR led by Director Research Ms. Anne Marie Okutoyi this week engaged with the management and workers of tea factories in Nandi County and emphasized on the responsibility of corporates to respect rights in line with Kenya's National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.

KNCHR led by Vice Chair Dr. Nyeris met the County Secretary Kilifi County Mr. Martin Mwaro to discuss matters promotion of the rights of the vulnerable elderly of Kilifi County and the urgent need to address the challenges faced by youth in the region to protect the elderly.
