things I miss about summer holidays not being a traditional teacher at the moment 1. Summer holidays 2. Buying new stationery 3. Thinking of new back to work clothes 4. Reading about people prepping classrooms and reading educational practice books whilst binge watching Netflix!

I’ve been reading books for kids aged 8-12 since we went into lockdown as part of my tutoring role. I can honestly say there are some amazing authors out there but I’m not a fan of a David Walliams. Am I just too old to get the humour???

I spent most of my private tutoring teaching Primary Maths, English and Science but this week’s History made my day... one of my 1:1s produced this! So chuffed! Reminds me why I love being a History teacher... especially when my student doesn’t love History! ❤️

Tier 3 Covid regulations mean that pandemic entertainment is designed for social/family bubbles. But what if you live on your own? Can that be sustained indefinitely without mental impact? Just work and home can’t be a sustainable lifestyle... thoughts...

Stepped back into a school classroom for the first time in 12 months today. Loved it! Think I missed it a little (even if it was a Primary classroom today and not my usual secondary environment)!

Well that makes it really clear BBC! Teachers not at risk but reopening schools could push our Covid number up!!!!! In my eyes the govt are like somebody who puts their car in for an MOT & decides to ignore the advice given by the mechanic putting everybody on the road at risk!

4 years of pain, a knee replacement, fitness set back by Covid but after a summer of walking I’m now ready to do a Race for Life to support my dad’s cancer battle. If anybody can spare a few pennies I’d be grateful for the support… fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/nicholas-…

What do a unicorn, red panda, giraffe, duck and tiger all have in common? They will all be completing a Race for Life on Sunday - if you can spare a few pennies you can donate here: fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/nicholas-… - thanks!
