I have deleted my work email from my phone. The last two years, I’ve really had to reevaluate how I approach my work. I’m still here. I’m not leaving. But, I am establishing some boundaries. Here’s to a healthier 2022.

On Fri, we made cards letting ppl know they are doing a good job. One S wrote a note to whoever read it & dropped it in the book return slot. Our librarian read it & placed it in a book to share the ❤️. It was a sweet way to end a tough week. What is your fav way to spread ❤️?

Most teachers were “good at school.” This is a more significant obstacle to reform than we admit.

We are putting together our class mixtapes this week. I started this collaboration when we ended up 2020 at home instead of in a classroom together as a way to promote unity. It's become one of my favorite end of the year activities.

COVID in many ways derailed my education career. But, so much was lost when ppl lost so much. & I have found my calling in different places than expected. However, today, I returned to UIL lit crit. It felt like home. So much has changed, but this felt good.
