A short-staffed primary healthcare is now reliant on volunteer labour for survival. Big problem when volunteers don’t feel belong in the system & cannot see themselves progressing in their careers. They need money, so they take many falls!

At the NHIA Nigeria. leadership course, we dedicated a full module to corruption/accountability issues in health financing. We identified corruption concerns in revenue raising, pooling, purchasing, and benefit design, and designed vertical/horizontal accountability actions for remedy.
At the NHIA Nigeria. leadership course, Prof Benjamin Uzochukwu led participants to of their accord describe the Nigerian health system. Interestingly, we could see multisectoral insights, as well as the belief that defects should be included as part of the overall health system. Thoughts??
