🐮 We’re udderly inspired by Cilwgri Farm in HMP Prescoed & Cilwrgi Farm.

Prisoners are learning to use an advanced robotic system that allows cows to volunteer to be milked.

This approach provides prisoners with agricultural qualifications and better job prospects after release.

⚽️HMP Prescoed & Cilwrgi Farm Prisoners will play against a team of Staff members in a friendly football match on the 25th of April.

Events like this help to Improve staff and prisoner relationships and builds a safer environment for our men and staff alike.

Their Autism Experience Training bus delivered awareness training to 24 of our staff with more sessions planned later this month👏

👀📸The first 360° Excavator course has been successfully delivered on Cilwrgi Farm in partnership with The Construction Hub Academy.

Learners are taught how to safely operate a excavator with an aim to gain employment within the construction industry when they leave prison👷‍♂️🚧

🚶Yesterday Usk veterans walked the distance between HMP Usk and Normandy beach. The distance of 240 miles equates to roughly 1640 laps of our sports field. Veterans, Staff and prisoners all took part to raise money for Care after Combat HQ Da iawn All 😃

🍰In September we held a Coffee morning/Bake off competition across both Usk and Prescoed to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

Good to see #grandslammers showing how sport can engage prisoners as a tool of reducing reoffending. With School of Hard Knocks we took rugby to HMP Prescoed & Cilwrgi Farm with DRAGONS RFC CommUNITY 🐉. Rugby training, personel development, employment fayre & a game at the end: prisoners alongside staff. Result!
