It is vital that mechanisms are put in place urgently to ease financial hardship associated with the 5-week wait and to ensure that people are not forced to resort to illegal lending or other debt sources.

The collapse of the NI Executive prevents progress on important protections against social security cuts and the cost-of-living crisis. We ask for the immediate restoration of the Executive so work can continue to provide meaningful help to those who need it most.

Thanks to Vodafone’s charities.connected initiative, we were able to support over 2,250 refugees and asylum seekers in order to tackle digital exclusion and poverty in Belfast. Our service users stated they felt less isolated and were able to access more opportunities.
