My cycling club is putting a cyclocross race on in Bramley Fall Park on Weds 5th July - come and have a watch! It's free and it'll be fun. westleedsdispatch.com/cyclo-cross-co…

late to the party on this one but Northern Monk hop water is incredible. alcohol free beer is nice, but just makes me want a real beer right afterwards. this stuff is like San Pellegrino with hops in it. a revelation.

Is there any research or a good long read out there on people's preferences for private messages over posting publicly (e.g. on Teams/slack/discord channels, facebook group post, etc.), even when the topic is not private and it would benefit everybody for the message to be open?

does anybody have any podcast recommendations for food commodities information? I'd love some kind of 99% invisible x Mintec report mashup in audio form.

I tried using copilot to do something. I tried different prompts for two hours with no success. I gave up and did it in 15 mins using the old ways - a youtube video of some guy doing what I needed to do, and some other guy's blog which said "if that didn't work, try this."

I've started using Felt for coordinating cycling TTs. It's a brilliant bit of software. Took me about 15 mins to upload a gpx from a strava activity, add in marshalling points, start/end points, additional descriptions, and send a link to all volunteers. Amazing stuff.

Today's quick maps play around: explaining to North Americans why it's so dark and depressing in Europe in December by plotting European cities at North American longitudes.
