I am 95% sure that the most common meta-analysis method in Cochrane Reviews is random effects with the DerSimonian and Laird weighting method. Anyone aware of a meta-epidemiological study actually reporting on this (methods of analysis used in Cochrane Reviews?)

Short new blog on odd experiences we've made with scientific publishers over the years, featuring some funny, bizarre, and frustrating moments. Curious about your own experiences, haven't really seen a place where these stories have been collected.
