I am 95% sure that the most common meta-analysis method in Cochrane Reviews is random effects with the DerSimonian and Laird weighting method. Anyone aware of a meta-epidemiological study actually reporting on this (methods of analysis used in Cochrane Reviews?)

Have seen the complaint that Cochrane Reviews do not have open data several times. This generally seems like a misunderstanding of what a Cochrane Review is. What data? Reviewers extract summary data from studies, and all of this is included in the review. What's left?
