When the Police and Crime Commissioner election last took place in 2021, Lib Dem Paul Kennedy was the clear challenger to the Conservatives. This time the choice is clear - five more years of letdown with the Conservatives or hard-working Paul.
Councillor Catherine Houston is supporting Paul Kennedy to be Surrey's next Police and Crime Commissioner because she knows him and sees how he fights tirelessly for everyone in our communities, even those whom others may ignore.
The team were out and about in Park Barn this morning. Yet more positive conversations, and hearing time and again that people are fed up of this tired and out-of-touch government. Lots of support for our General Election candidate Zöe Franklin 🔶 🧡🧡
Yesterday I visited a Refugee Council 🧡 centre to learn more about the support offered to refugees and asylum seekers.
As part of the visit, it was a privilege to speak to two Afghans who generously shared with me about their experiences.

Did you know the current PPC has increased their office budget by 70% (£1.7M) since 2021 to pay for a larger media team, a deputy and a national policy adviser? All when Surrey Police was judged to have deteriorated in 6 out of 7 delivery areas. Paul Kennedy is different.
Councillor Jo Shaw is supporting Paul Kennedy to be Surrey's next Police and Crime Commissioner because she believes our county needs someone with experience and understanding, and who cares deeply about our communities.
Voting by post? Make sure you use your vote for Paul Kennedy to be Surrey's Police and Crime Commissioner and ensure a fairer and more resident-focused approach to policing across our county.
Yesterday I attended the public information event for the Guildford Flood Alleviation Scheme. I thoroughly encourage anyone living or working in #Guildford to view information about the scheme and share their feedback before 17th May 2024.

A huge well done to the ZERO team!
Great to be out knocking on doors in Merrow Park. Lots of positive conversations about the coming General Election and also the Police and Crime Commissioner election on 2nd May.

Good to bump into Zöe Franklin 🔶 out walking, engaging with people, doing the hard yards in Guildford. I don’t know much about politics, but I suspect that this is your time!
The dedicated Guildford Liberal Democrat team have had another highly productive week⭐
Our Parliamentary Candidate Zöe Franklin 🔶 has met with a NHS ICB representative, whilst our councillors have addressed a variety of local residents needs🧡
Prospective Lib Dem MP for Guildford, Zöe Franklin 🔶 is supporting Paul Kennedy to be Surrey's next Police and Crime Commissioner.
She knows how important policing is to residents, in particular tackling antisocial behaviour and creating safer communities.
As a local councillor, Paul Kennedy understands how crucial it is that people have confidence in the Police. Instead of spending taxpayer money on PR and office costs he will focus on police performance and driving up community confidence in the Police.
