When excessive rain in BC caused rivers to overflow, sturgeon swam out of the rivers and were stranded when the water receded. Our RescUAV Team has been working with the Fraser Valley Angling Guides Association to help relocate these fish by creating maps and flying aerial surveys. #drones #BCFloods

As we mark the 1 year anniversary of the B.C. flooding and mudslides, we will never forget the devastating impact that the unprecedented rains brought last year. We will also remember the spirit of unity and the sense of community that brought us together. #Chilliwack #HopeBC

I'm pleased to see this work finally being done to get an accurate figure on sturgeon populations in the Fraser River. In order to truly protect this ancient species, we must have accurate data. theglobeandmail.com/canada/british…

Critical funding provided by Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation for the important work we do on Juvenile Sturgeon. That funding comes from user license fees from the Sturgeon Conservation surcharge needed for fishing above mission bridge in the freshwater section.

Additionally, to be absolutely and unequivocally clear, the fires in west Kelowna, Kelowna and the RDCO started on Crown Land crushing dozens of homes backing onto Crown Land. The areas ‘treated’ by municipalities were roasted because the province has been absent for decades.
