After a long illness, our friend Tito Brandano has left us. Proud to be a heritage stonemason, he worked on the tracery window, the chapel's cross-rib vault and the gatehouse. His legacy will live on. Ciao Tito.

The Treadwheel and its house were moved from the downland village of Catherington, north of Portsmouth, where it was in a very derelict condition. The treadwheel was designed to raise water from a well, thought to be nearly 200 feet deep, and was in use until about 90 years ago.
