ACLU Texas has filed a class action lawsuit against Travis County, alleging that the county is violating the constitutional rights of some by not ensuring everyone has access to a defense attorney during their first bail hearing post-arrest.

For only $1.3 billion, Texas could pay off all the bonds on SH 130, eliminate tolls, require long-haul trucks to go around the city instead of through, and avoid this pointless expansion altogether.
