Today, our pupils were joined with pupils from Afon Taf who helped us to prepare and cook a lovely corned beef stew for those less fortunate. A huge thank you to all involved.

A great follow-up career visit at the Merthyr Roots Project at Cyfarthfa Greenhouses today with Greenfield School. Students toured the grounds, made propagators from recycled materials, and learned about various plants. Thanks, Ben and Jonathan for your support.

Pupils enjoyed a cold and windy Cwm Cycling session at Aberdare Park this afternoon. Well done to those involved 🚴‍♂️

We were delighted to welcome 2 teachers, all the way from Poland to join us, in our weekly "Ready Set Cook challenge". The ladies even took part in the judging and they gave our pupils a massive thumbs up. It was a pleasure to cook for you both and we hope to see you again.

Greenfield pupils had the pleasure to meet our Polish partners from Szkola  Podstawowa Specjalna No 40 in Zabrze. Joanna and Alina had a lot of fun with us and enjoyed the visit to Cyfarthfa Park and the area of Merthyr. See you soon!

S5 embarked on another adventure around Garwnant Visitor Centre. We explored the dense, damp wood; admired the variety of birds that swooping overhead before camping out amongst the trees to build a shelter.

Pupils in key stage 3 had the opportunity to go to cwm cycling this afternoon. Sun was out, which meant lots of smiles and enjoyment. Da iawn

Congratulations to our pupils who took part in their first Trampoline Competition today at Abertillery Sports Centre. All pupils competed in an 10 Bounce Routine category. A huge achievement to all involved. Da Iawn everyone 🥇🥈🥉

A fantastic effort by Jodie Cooksey, one of our parent's for completing a 🥶COLD water🥶swim 🏊‍♀️during the frosty month of March 2024. Jodie raised a fantastic £245.20 towards our schools new adaptable minibus 😄👏💐

S2 pupils have had a wonderful afternoon taking part in the 'Puppet Soup' workshop this afternoon. We met lots of interesting puppets from South America. We also made our very own puppet! A beautiful afternoon on this beautiful day.
