Plenty of bees enjoying the spring sunshine today at Pen Dinas Hill-fort, Aberystwyth, including this female Buffish mining bee (Andrena nigroaenea) and Forest cuckoo bee (Bombus sylvestris) - both personal firsts for the year. Wonderful place!

Brilliant to know this red data list species is present at a nature reserve just outside of Aberystwyth. Coed Geufron is accessible along the Rheidol cycle path via Blaendolau playing fields.
