Fortunate enough to be invited to the opening of Cardiff City Academy new facility in Llanrumney this morning and, wow, what a place. Seriously impressive.

Was shown around by the impressive Gavin chesterfield and the analysis suite stood out in particular. The seats in there are from Cardiff City Stadium.

GC said: “We want our young players to sit in the same seats the fans have. The seats fans have paid for.”

Also good to see so many first team staff there. Tom Ramasut, Erol Bulut and the best-dressed man in Cardiff Nadir Sönmez, who was sporting a bloody lovely cream blazer, ahead of tonight’s match.

Good to chat with Steve Borley about the signage in the main indoor playing facility. A big Peter Whittingham Foundation mural is planned to go on the wall there.
