The GOP Texas Supreme Court sided with AG Paxton to stop Kate Cox from receiving a medically-necessary abortion.

Now, after two lower courts denied him, Paxton has appealed to SCOTX to deny 1900 families $500/month.

We need a SCOTX that isn’t a shill for AG Paxton.

A second Trump term would be filled with folks even more willing to be complicit in endangering Americans’ lives.

A Houston woman miscarried in a restroom toilet in the ER lobby while her husband called 911 for help, as hospital staff refused to help her.

There is no other way to say it: extremist GOP politicians and judges have blood on their hands.

Bring on November.

While Texas' most vulnerable kids suffer, state leaders are focused on:
- terrorizing LGBTQ kids & families
- scaring hospitals into not providing women life-saving care

Why do we have Black Maternal Health Week?

The latest Texas DSHS stats don't lie: While TX had the lowest proportion of women receiving 1st trimester care nationally in 2020, it's much lower for Black TX women.

US: 76.1%
TX: 67.7%
Non-Hispanic Black women in TX: 60.1%

Those with an 'agenda' = women who want to listen to their doctors and not have medical decisions forced on them by partisan state supreme court justices--the way TX Justices Blacklock, Devine, and Bland (Jane Bland) ruled Kate Cox didn't qualify for a medical exception.

The reference to “buying a bus ticket” is intentional. It speaks to who they think gets abortions—poor women who make poor choices.

It’s ignorant and insulting.

We forget how re-traumatizing this experience can be for the women telling their stories—of how they lost a wanted pregnancy and how leaders needlessly put their lives at risk.

In awe of their continued courage they display only in the hope of helping other women.
