Thankfully the bullet was partially deflected by his vest.

Medical Examiner has identified the woman found shot to death this morning as 36-year-old Kuanita Berry.
She was found on the corner of Ingram and Lucas, just outside downtown LA. Detectives believe she lived in nearby homeless encampment. Shooter got away…for now. FOX 11 Los Angeles
