We’ll done David Aaronovitch shining a light into the dark corners of NHS workforce crisis on Radio 4 today, giving rare airtime to community nursing and actually mentioning district nurses! Great panel, especially Prof Alison Leary 💙#ProtectNurse, if only NHS leaders spoke as much sense as this team.

Wonderful afternoon yesterday at St Paul’s Walden Bury enjoying the fabulous historic landscape. It was childhood home of The Queen Mother and a founding garden for National Garden Scheme in 1927. It celebrates 90 years opening this year. Thanks to the Bowes-Lyon family.
In Carers Week everyone at National Garden Scheme salutes the dedicated - and too often ignored - work of unpaid carers and we are proud to have supported Carers Trust with annual donations totalling £5.5m since 1996, making us their largest cumulative funder.
