James Austin ๐ฅ๐ฝ๐๐๏ธ NaโCa(COโ)โโข5HโO NIMBYs who think there are enough homes somewhere else, should move to these locations
๐ฅ๐ฝ๐๐๏ธ NaโCa(COโ)โโข5HโO Another counter argument for supply denial: The durable store of value bit of housing is the land, so if itโs all about speculative value, why do land prices (generally) increase when given residential planning permission vs commercial? And why does this uplift vary by locale?
Having fun? ๐ฅ๐ฝ๐๐๏ธ NaโCa(COโ)โโข5HโO 260k empty homes is 0.9% of the 28.4m dwellings in the UK, and enough for approximately ten months of *only* England's (insufficiently high) housing target
Looks like a supply shortage to me
