Food Council welcomed a group of parents in for lunch this week. The parents were treated to a brilliant presentation from one Council member who spoke about the initiatives they are working on. One parent said “ I was surprised with the quality of the food. It was great.”

Year 3 had a fabulous ‘Castles Day’ yesterday. They designed their own coat of arms, built castles and took part in a medieval tournament. The kitchen team prepared a medieval banquet and showed the children how food was prepared at that time. 🏰🍗⚔️

Today we said a very fond farewell to our fabulous Year 6’s. From all of us at Gateway School, we wish you all the very best as you embark on the next exciting chapter of your brilliant lives. Stay in touch!

Gateway School Year 5 residential is well underway. So far, on day one, they have been to the Museums of Iron, Enginuity and Ironbridge since they arrived!

Year 5 have spent the morning at Blists Hill Victorian Town. They’ve dressed up as Victorian children and been taught in a Victorian school. After school they headed to the bank to exchange their money for shillings so they could spend it in town. Certainly a day to remember.
