This is funny but true. Yesterday at 7am at Delaware announcement says “loose horse has been caught and is in barn 5” 8am again. 9am again. It is pretty much just white noise to me. 11am again. Finally it dawned on me. Four hours and someone has not realized his horse is missing?

Today we lost Miguel Mena. He was one of a kind. A great person and even greater role model. Life is so precious we all need to live every day to the fullest. My sincere condolences to his family.

I was sorry to hear today that Quincy Adam’s had passed. Deep down inside he was a good guy and father. Perfect no, but are any of us perfect? My condolences to those that loved him and knew him!

I am sitting here tonight with my Golden on my lap. I realize what an amazing positive our dogs, cats, horses and animals have on our lives. Who understands us better than our animals? We can surely learn from their kindness and devotion.

Today we lost Angel Penna Jr. hard to find a kinder more personable horse trainer. His father was one of my mentors and he always remained a good friend, he will be missed!

Just thinking out loud here. We all know the story of Navarro and Servis. My question is should they not be stripped of all training titles and eclipse awards? It is already proven that they cheated, they have admitted to that and pleaded guilty, so should they get to keep them?

I lost a great friend this week and the sport lost a great horseman who devoted his life to this game. JJ Graci was a true horseman.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Burt Bacharach. A good friend, great musician and tremendous horseman. He so loved his horses and we spent so much time talking horses together.

My good friend John Veitch passed today. He was a gentleman and a horseman every day of his life. The Kentucky racing commission should be ashamed of what they did to him. A true horseman who loved this business like no other.
