The Circle Bear Crawl is one of my favorite #core exercises for our young athletes. It works anti flex/ext, anti rot along with developing shoulder #stability and #coordination of the arms/legs. Adding the Valslide gives the #athlete a tactile reinforcement for hip stability.

"Don't rush, but don't wait. Act with urgency, but release yourself from the need to achieve on a particular timeline. When you think longer term than most, you can think bigger than most. If it takes years, start now." James Clear can only agree but super difficult to achieve

Just finished off a very thought provoking CPD Call regarding failure... And as a coach who's still in the infancy of their career, I massively believe that introspection/reflection is a key catalyst is for career & self-development.

Combine that with a well experienced mentor who's holistic in their own approach and you're on to a winner! I don't think mentors receive enough recognition so to APA Gareth Shelbourne Jake Peake a big big thanks for the impact you guys have made on my own career🙏

I recently presented on creating habits and independent thinkers, sparking some really good conversations with other coaches. How do you develop habits as a coach? As coaches, we’re either habit makers or habit breakers. Which habits are important to you as a coach?

Always leave room for the unexpected. A buffer of time, a little extra money, a reserve of goodwill. You won't be maximizing every opportunity or squeezing out every last dollar, but what you lose in reward, you gain in safety. Survival is the highest return of all.

Manchester & the north west; the gym I use 1 evening/week to coach my golfers is unexpectedly getting refurbished through October. As a result I need to find another facility to deliver out of. If anyone knows of suitable facilities in the region, I’d appreciate the link up!

Think of a time you failed or struggled greatly. If you were to view that experience in a more useful way, what story would you tell yourself? What did it teach you? How did it prepare you for what came next? Turn your failures into lessons.
