What do you need to know about #UNGA? We asked Senior Official for Public Diplomacy Satterfield to break it down for us as world leaders head to the United Nations in New York City next week.


Through United Nations, the U.S. works to address the world’s most challenging issues. At this year’s #UNGA79, we’re addressing conflict and crises through the UN, revitalizing an overstretched humanitarian system, and creating a more inclusive and effective international system.



There will always be forces to pull our countries and world apart. As President Donald J. Trump outlined at UNGA today, our task is to make sure the forces holding us together are stronger than those pulling us apart. There is nothing beyond our capacity if we work together.


Whether on the battlefield or at the United Nations Security Council, the United States will continue to support Ukraine in its fight to defend itself against Russia’s aggression.
