At the National Conclave of Farmer Leaders on GM crops, held at Chandigarh, Aug 22, I wondered why Punjab hasn't yet drawn a lesson from the devastation caused by Bt cotton. The area under cotton has collapsed this year and yet the State Govt is demanding Bt-III cotton seeds.
