Typically, when Ss misread a word, we have a tendency to tell them to go back & reread. Try this instead: Have Ss NAME the letters in a word. Why? This allows attention to be focused on each letter. It also strengthens the orthographic identity of the word in the brain.

We’re fancy like…RTI! A bunch of fun Fancy Nancys showed up to teach intervention today at Gilbert Elementary School on book character day!

Our Gilbert_elem_RTI loved the process of finding out our students’ interests, selecting and ordering books just for them, packing the bags, and now waiting to deliver them on Friday! We’re excited about our Book Match Plus program this year for our 4th and 5th grade RTI students!

What a day! What a special gift for our students! What an amazing team that continually works to help Ss! We loved delivering bags of books to our Book Match Plus Ss! We hope the excitement of receiving these books will help them with engagement and building reading volume!

We are excited about our RTI STAR Student Celebration today! We are celebrating 18 students who reached their goals in RTI during the first 9 weeks. They worked hard to reach these goals with their interventionist and we are SO PROUD! #celebratesuccess #proud #reachforthestars
