Saturday saw the @Godmanchester Bridge Academy community come together for our first Summer Fayre! It was a fabulous day full of joy and smiles raising money to enable more experiences for the children at GBA! Well done Friends Of GBA for a great event.

It was Open Day this afternoon @Godmanchester Bridge Academy. Parents and carers were able to visit their child's classroom, enjoy all the learning children have accomplished this year and chat with class teachers. It was a joy to have everyone in school!

Kingfisher class have been learning all about the election & how elections work this week. They made their own ‘parties’, wrote their manifesto & then delivered speeches explaining their ideas! We voted as a class for the winning party. Congratulations to ‘The Girls Government’!

It’s Olympic Week here @Godmanchester Bridge Academy and the children celebrated today by representing a country each in our own Opening Ceremony. Such great camaraderie and positivity today! 👏👏👏

Butterfly class, in reception, are celebrating all that is Spanish for Olympics Week @Godmanchester Bridge Academy. From transient art, to independent writing, to replicating Spanish architecture with their construction blocks, to enjoying print making inspired by the Olympic rings. Great work!

Eagle class, year 6, have excelled themselves in their SATs! What a fabulous set of results which reflect the children's resiliance, reflectivness and responsibility towards their own learning and success 🙌 Well done year 6!

It’s our final Celebration Assembly today @Godmanchester Bridge Academy for this academic year. There was sooooo much to celebrate! Congratulations every pupil who gained another certificate including a rare Mythic Legend! Our winning House for this half term is Luna. Congratulations Luna House 👏

Children across the school have had a brilliant Olympics Week. Each class has enjoyed learning about a competing nation, inspired by our school community whilst learning about the history and customs of the Olympic Games 👌

Sports Day on Friday @Godmanchester Bridge Academy was fantastic, with so many parents & families here to watch the children in our 'Mini Olympics'. Congratulations everyone for great sportsmanship & full commitment to your events! The nation that won our Mini Olympics was Nigeria, well done!

Year 6 were preparing for the next chapter of their lives @Godmanchester Bridge Academy this week. We enjoyed a fabulous production of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, followed by a wonderful Leavers Assembly today! Follow your dreams year 6.

The academic year 2023/24 ended with some lovely feedback @Godmanchester Bridge Academy. We are rightly proud of our team, their dedication and their craft 👏👏👏

We're back & we're growing! We opened the doors again on Wednesday to all the children & their families. We welcomed 2 new reception classes, 4 new support staff & a new class teacher! We're looking forward to the year ahead & the world of opportunities it brings the children.

We have all been very impressed with our Reception classes and their transition into school. They're learning our school values, developing their attention skills and having lots of fun! Well done Butterfly class and Ladybird class.

It was Plant Donation Day @Godmanchester Bridge Academy today & the donations were planted by some fabulous parent helpers. Herbs were planted next to the path in our wildlife area to create the beginnings of a sensory path. 100’s of bulbs were planted & some decorative plants added colour!

Singing Assembly @Godmanchester Bridge Academy was joyous this morning! The children filled the school with lyrics that celebrated resilience, one of our school values. The children didn’t want to stop it was so good! Thank you TheMusicMan

Swift class, year 3, are enjoying using a range of manipulatives to consolidate their learning of 3 digit numbers. Great job Swift class!
