Per the RFP: proposer may operate up to 3 mobile food units “on the East side of the plaza up to and including the Washington Street sidewalk.” This is the very sidewalk that’s currently blocked by the souvenir vendors that were booted from the Bklyn Bridge. What could go wrong?

Everyone should be able to safely enjoy the pedestrian walkway on the Brooklyn Bridge.

As of today, new NYC DOT rules prohibit vending on city bridges. This will create more space for pedestrians, reduce safety risks, and allow all who visit to better enjoy the view.
