NEW COGNACS // Tasting Maxime Trijol Cognac Cognacs with JC Vincent. We have the VS, VSOP and XO in stock. All very good, love the XO, rich and bold style. Keen to try the older ones... hint, hint, J. 😉 kensingtonwinemarket.com/search?advsear… #yyc #cognac
RIDICULOUS // If I told you we had a 29 year old sherried blend for just $115... you'd probably tell me I was crazy. I might be crazy, but may I introduce you to the North Star Spica? Only 30 bottles coming to Kensington Wine Mrkt kensingtonwinemarket.com/products/817607 #yyc #scotch #whisky
NEEDS WATER... // Now there is something you don't hear/see me say often. The North Star Invergordon 31 Year is flying a touch on the hot side at 63.2%. Fans of single grain will enjoy this, but it is definitely more quafable with a drop of H²0! kensingtonwinemarket.com/products/817603
Its Friday, Stop by Legacy Liquor Store from 4pm until 8pm and try two amazing Japanese Whiskies. Perfect way to start your weekend.Legacy Liquor Store
PUNCHY // Andrew Ferguson just wrote up his own tasting note on a punchy A D Rattray Whisky Blair Athol 1997. This 21 year old is spicy and decadent, and at 63% it packs a bit of a punch. Warm, but not sharp! kensingtonwinemarket.com/products/82149… #yyc #scotch #whisky #blairathol
AULD MILTONDUFF // Finally got around to sampling the A D Rattray Whisky Miltonduff 34 Year. This 1983 vintage is the oldest Miltonduff we've seen in a wee while. It is a fine example of a mature ex-Bourbon matured single malt, and far from over the hill! kensingtonwinemarket.com/products/821495
Still thinking of the memorable lunchtime BuchanansChophouse yesterday with A D Rattray Whisky from VisitScotland and their wonderful whisky! Welcome to Calgary! Thanks Fountana Beverage
Great line-up by A D Rattray Whisky with Tommy Boyd #VWF2020. The mystery vatted malt Glenburn 25yo was the stand out for me, followed by the Croftenga 12yo and Staoish 6yo.
