Coaches say they want player development then just default to an easier movement to teach because they want results now instead of a better athlete later.

“They are D1 athletes… why are they doing basic landing mechanics from a 20” box.” And on the flip side of that “They are D1 athletes… the Olympic lifts are too confusing for them even though thousands of crossfit gyms use them everyday.”

Sand work is not speed work. Sand work is fun. Sand work has no meaning besides being fun. It does not get you faster. It does not make your footwork better. NFL athletes who run in sand are great due to the culmination of years of training. Not due to sand.

We have had the Shredmill for almost 6 weeks now. I see far too many coaches chasing numbers instead of proper form. A lot of their gear 3s look like this. It’s so incredibly easy to get a good mph score doing it this way. This is 20.6mph with no warm-up. Tony Villani

IF A COACH EVER TREATS YOU LIKE THIS, YOU KNOCK THEM THE HECK OUT. REMIND THEM HOW MUCH STRENGTH YOU POSSESS YET RESTRAIN EVERY TIME YOU ARE BEING CHEWED OUT.
