Nursery have had lots of fun in the snow this afternoon. We have been shovelling it, building big piles and lying in it, and even making a birthday cake! Then we had some yummy hot chocolate at snack time to warm up.

This week we have been exploring our taste sense. We had a range of ingredients that varies from salt, sweet and bitter. We explored honey, salted crisps, cocoa and lemon. Some of the children then documented how they felt about each food.🍋🍯

“Look at the colours” “They’ve made a rainbow” “What’s going to happen?” These were some of the comments we had when we experimented with skittles and two different temperatures of water.

‘Looking through the window hole and we seen our friends’! What will you see beyond the peep hole?

We would like you to meet “April” the rabbit who has come to Forehill ELC for 3 weeks. The children have been very welcoming and are showing April how caring they are. I wonder what April will be learning next?

We have been very busy in nursery this week planting seeds and learning what we should do to help them grow. Last week we planted sunflower seeds and can already see shots coming through the soil so it’s beeen very exciting .

The beginning of our transition from nursery to Primary 1 has began! Some of the boys and girls took in their own teddy to take through to the school for a short visit joined by the giant nursery bear that the children named Frankie.

Forehill love having Mrs Mutch to visit! Playing games in our big house that we drew together! We were finding ‘big’ and ‘small’ things around the garden too! #earlylearners #relationships
