A cool web page to learn about the origins of Drosophila gene names. My favorite will always be Tinman! deeptisjourney.wordpress.com/fly-art/

Tomorrow, I will be releasing a new version of the #ImageJ ActionBar plugin in which bars can stick to the ImageJ main window, together with a convenient "channels bar" to easily change display mode and channel visibility. See how it works below.

The new #TrackMate #preprint is truly amazing. It now offers support for segmenting blobs and linking them via overlap. And of course, it is easily extensible (awesome!). It took me 3hrs to write a TrackMate-#clij2 plugin. Fantastic work by Dmitry Ershov et al. and Jean-Yves Tinevez !🤩

As my first international conference, #Dros22 is both slightly intimidating and exhilarating! For the last poster session, join me and my guts (that’s right, they are our very own confocal stacks 🪰 ) for a story from morphology to gene function at 586C!!! Murray Lab

Science is not really happening when the goal is a paper, a presentation, a grant, or any product. It only really happens when the goal is a process of discovery.
