An immunocompromised man, who was chronically infected with BA.1.17 for more then 1,5 years, until unfortunately he died because of his underlying disease, was tested repeatly. 50 nucleotides mutated

Following the death of an 11-year-old girl from highly pathogenic avian #influenza #H5N1 in Prey Veng province, #Cambodia , Ministry of Health reports 12 more infected people, 4 of whom have begun to show symptoms. Results of diagnosis expected tomorrow.

Amsterdam UMC , inBiome, UMCG en het Erasmus MC hadden gelukkig hun samples voor week 4 snel op GISAID Initiative staan. 🙏
Ondanks het afnemende aantal samples, samen toch nog boven de 100
