Been years in the making, and we are finally starting to see what local control can do. Proud to have helped set things in motion, and can’t wait to watch as the facilities improvements continue to happen. Philadelphia Schools #phled

Just tried to go to playground at FDR Philadelphia Parks & Recreation w kids to find out they charge $45 to park on Eagles game days!? Really? Has this always been a thing? They told me I can park outside and walk in - I asked where- they said 🤷‍♀️. We charge to use public parks?

This should include Philadelphia Board of Education members too (and maybe it does already, but one thing I always noticed is how much stricter all rules were for board members than any other public service role in city… yet was also the unpaid one)

Yes! Term limits for ALL elected and appointed positions. 8 of the 10 largest cities in US have term limits- it’s not a radical idea

Big news: #PHLed has seen a year over year increase in student enrollment in district-run schools. 1,841 students more in 2024-25 than the prior year (now 117,956.) "We sure are excited about that," Supt Watlington says.

Some of the best humans I’ve ever met. I sleep easy knowing that the Philadelphia Board of Education is under the leadership of Reginald L. Streater, Esq. and now Vice President Sarah-Ashley , making decisions for our young people, including my own kids. Thank you for your service. #phled

I read this and keep thinking how Michael Klein should do a story highlighting horror stories of owning a brick and mortar small business in Philly. I know I’ve got plenty of own to share and know many others that do too

Thank you for your service, Philadelphia Board of Education ! No one who hasn’t sat in that exact seat will ever understand how demanding and thankless the role is; can’t even begin to imagine. Thank you for taking on the challenge for the benefit of the young people of Philadelphia. #phled

Philadelphia does not realize how lucky we are to have Reginald L. Streater, Esq. leading this work…. What I would consider the most important work in the city. Thank you, Reggie.
