Last night, Philadelphia Board of Education voted unanimously to name the School District of Philadelphia's central office building 'The Constance E. Clayton Education Center,' to honor the legacy of its former District superintendent who served from 1982-1993. #PHLED

It was a privilege to know Dr. Clayton as a mentor and friend. She embodied a true educator and humanitarian through her dedication to improving the lives of children. It is an honor to rename our central office building to The Constance E. Clayton Education Center in her memory.

Led by urban agriculture educator Anna Herman, senior Amani Lee and classmates from The U School are designing a demonstration garden at Fox Chase Farm. This initiative aims to offer hands-on agricultural lessons to thousands of city students. Learn more: bit.ly/4cT7FK6
