Today’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) data makes it clear that economic abuse, where an abuser controls money and the things money can buy, is devastating the lives of victim-survivors. It makes it harder for them to leave and when they do flee, they often end up destitute and homeless as a result.

Perpetrators of #EconomicAbuse often take out credit in a victim-survivors' name and destroy their credit rating. Not being able to access credit puts extra barriers in the way of survivors rebuilding their lives.
