Ground has been broken at the National Memorial Arboretum to mark the position of the new LGBT+ memorial. Organised by Fighting With Pride the memorial, representing a crumpled letter, uses words taken from evidence collected from former LGBT personnel. It will be unveiled later this year.

All veterans affected by the ban while serving between 1967 and 2000 are urged to read the guidance and apply via the Veterans of the LGBT Ban: gov.uk/government/pub…

Today marks 2 years since the Etherton Review. This Government has completed 47 of 49 recommendations, with the rest due by December. This reflects our continued commitment to supporting veterans and addressing historic wrongs. Support is available for those who were affected
