Results just in for the A level and IB business card holder CAD design challenge. All designs created using Onshape and 3D laser sintered by Shapeways in Holland. A nice array of ideas and each within budget. 👍

Year 5 have really enjoyed learning about structures recently in the Engineering topic, building bridges using paper & tape, some capable of holding up to 4kg! Felsted Prep School

Young Engineers have successfully replaced the crankshaft in the Briggs and Stratton lawnmower engine. It nows runs smoothly. Next project is to look at restoring our very own Felsted stationary engine,... a little bit more ambitious!

Our FelsTED bear has been busy this December fixing our broken star for the School Christmas Tree with the help of the amazing Felsted DT Department!⭐ After working their magic, the star is now back on top of the tree!🎄 #FelstedFun #ChristmasStar #FeelingFestive

Year 6 have just finished their Bauhaus inspired clocks Felsted Prep School

Young Engineers!... The first parts of the Felsted stationary engine jigsaw puzzle begin to arrive. Fuel tank and water tank with new transparent lid under construction by our team of young engineers. The journey begins!...

Year 5 have really enjoyed building their Crumple Zone Egg Protectors during Engineering lessons this term and with blue skies we enjoyed testing their efforts today. A Cracking effort!

If anyone missed the label on the previous tweet, the lamps are the result of yr8's hard work in the workshop and with use of the laser cutter.

Yr10 have done well to finish off their tealight holder projects before half term. Some nice ideas whch took them through modelling in card and styrofoam before finalising their idea. They now await the themes for the NEA from the exam board.

We've arrived at Anglia Ruskin Uni for the CESCO STEM competition. Students are setting up their stalls and looking forward to an interesting day. 🤞
