Let's tackle one of the common misconceptions around the #ProportionalPropertyTax ... will your local council lose out? In short, the answer is no.
PPT will not decrease tax revenues - it will be collected by central government and distributed to local councils accordingly.
We couldn't help but chuckle at this letter featured in the The Yorkshire Post in response to John Stevenson MP's excellent article around Council Tax reform.

☑️ Stamp Duty needs to go. It discourages homeowners from moving both up and down the property ladder. This has an adverse impact on the British economy.
One of the many benefits of the #ProportionalPropertyTax is the removal of Stamp Duty.
