It's interesting that for all the commentary about how Armenia is trying to move away from Russia, few explain why Yerevan is in the situation it is and thus where the solution lies. It was always about Karabakh and a political and economic system that evolved around it. I was

Delaying deforestation legislation is bad news for the climate and undermines the position of our companies and prolongs uncertainty. The Commission could have avoided this by simply doing its job. Delay cannot and should not lead to weakening the #EUDR.

Every year £1bn is lost at sea by not charging shipping emissions. Charging ships for their fair share of UK shipping emissions is a win-win. The costs would mostly be borne by large, profitable ship operators at next to no cost to consumers. ➡️ bit.ly/3XgMdZu

- Who wants peace? The two warring nations & their leaders want peace. - And who wants an eternal conflict? Armenian diaspora institutions in the US thrives on conflict to justify their existence & hence, is against the peace. ANCA is a bad tail wanting to wag the dog.

Today's declaration by Armenia and Azerbaijan is welcome news on the road to lasting peace. The timely implementation of the agreed steps is now crucial. The EU will continue to support normalisation efforts to achieve sustainable peace, stability and prosperity for the region.
