Louis Triay Snr was a pioneer, a man of principle who represented Gibraltar politically & in international competitions. He remained active beyond his years until his death. Presenting him with is medal & hearing him at a recent KC ceremony he was as erudite as ever! RIP Louis.

In line with the UK, tomorrow at 12 noon Gibraltar will pause for a one-minute silence in tribute to the people of #Ukraine . Members of the Public are encouraged to stand in silence wherever you are. I am away from Gibraltar but will observe the silence for a #FreeUkraine .

One week on, we stood in silent solidarity with the people of Turkiye 🇹🇷 and Syria 🇸🇾 and in memory of our lost colleague, Dr Chami. RIP.

Tomorrow we will half mast our flags & hold a minutes silence at midday in condolence & solidarity with the people of Turkey and Syria, one week after the earthquake struck. We will especially remember Dr Chami's memory. May he & all others lost to this tragedy Rest In Peace.
