"EIACP MoEF&CC ICFRE-FRI EIACP celebrated World Environment Day 2024 at Forest Ecology and Climate Change Division."

Dr. Renu Singh Director FRI inaugurated a seminar on Desertification and Drought Day United for Land. Our Legacy. Our Future. and addressed 80 scientists, technical professionals and research scholars in hybrid mode.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day-2024, Extension Division of ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun organized Yoga Programme in the guidance of Shri S. P. Singh, Yoga Instructor. Mrs. Richa Misra, IFS, Head Extension Division addressed all 200 participants of the programme.

As part of the “एक_पेड़_माँ_के_नाम "campaign, Hon'ble Minister, Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change Sh. Bhupender Yadav in presence of other dignitaries inaugurated the ‘मातृ वन’ and carried out plantation in ICFRE-Forest Research Institute campus, Dehradun.

📷 Empowering Communities Through Herbal Innovations! 📷 The Chemistry and Bioprospecting Division, Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, organized a training in Ummedpur, for 30 participants, showcasing herbal dhoopbattis, soaps, and natural dye.

ICFRE-FRI,Dehradun signed license agreement to commercially produce high yielding two Corymbia hybrids; FRI-CH-1 and FRI-CH-2 developed by team led by Dr Ajay Thakur of Institute with Biotechnology companies.

Extension Division, ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun commemorated Van Mahotsav 2024 with a tree planting event at the RIMC campus in Dehradun as part of the "एक_पेड़_माँ_के_नाम" campaign on 24th of July 2024. Director ICFRE-FRI, Commandant RIMC planted Rudraksh and Peepal trees respectively.

"EIACP MoEF&CC  ICFRE-FRI EIACP organized a plantation drive under the campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" with the students of G.G.I.C. Kaulagarh, Dehradun.

On 07.08.2024, Under AICRP-24 (Combating Desertification) Project, G&TI Division of ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun conducted one day training cum workshop on “Popularization of best practices to mitigate the effect of land degradation and desertification” at CUP bhatinda.

A team of Scientists from ICFRE-FRI, Dr. Shailesh Pandey and Dr Santan Barthwal visited Bodhgaya for the health assessment of the Holy Maha Bodhi Tree at Bodhgaya from 7th to 9th May 2024. The required interventions were done for the maintenance of the Holy tree.

On the occasion of 78th Independence Day on 15th August, 2024 celebrated by ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun, Mrs. Kanchan Devi, IFS, DG, ICFRE, hoisted flag and addressed the gathering. Mrs. Richa Misra, IFS, Director in Charge, ICFRE-FRI also addressed the gathering on this occasion.

A group of 14 staff of Forest wing of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra, J&K visited FRI various museums on 05th Sept 2024 and two lectures were delivered by nominated resource persons Dr. Devendra Kumar, Scientist E, Dr. Ajay Thakur, Scientist G.

Extension Division, ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun celebrated the Himalaya Day. A lecture was delivered in online mode by Dr. SS Samant, Former Director, HFRI, Shimla. Dr. NK Upreti, Group Coordinator Research, ICFRE-FRI officiated the programme. Above 48 participants attended the programme

A tree plantation drive was conducted at Matri Van(Mangrove Garden) ICFRE-FRI, Dehradun on 14.09.2024 as a part of the programme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. 20 Saplings of various species were planted and 50 saplings were distributed among them to plant in their surroundings.
