#OnThisDay 1693 At the Battle of Landen, Patrick Sarsfield was fatally wounded & died days later at Huy, Belgium. His last words were reputedly: “Oh that this was for Ireland” After 331 years, his grave may have been located & his remains repatriated home. #Ireland #History

1/ Our Manuscript of the Week is RIA MS 23 P 10(iii), a medical treatise, including most of Book I of the Rosa Anglica of John of Gaddesden. This decorated capital C marks the beginning of a treatise on fever. The manuscript dates to the 15th C and the scribe is unknown.
