Three of our amazing doctoral students ready to attend the Société des Anglicistes de l'Enseignement Sup. annual conference in Nancy. Good vibes going on here.

Larry the Cat Aaron Chown Do your work, Chief Mouser.

We’re now listening to Tony Dex ODUNGA (Université de Caen) talking us through “L'émigration des femmes dans l'Angleterre victorienne au prisme de l'English Woman's Journal : Exploration du rôle de Maria Susan Rye et de son réseau d'émigration” 👏 Congrès SAES Nancy 2024 Société des Anglicistes de l'Enseignement Sup.

Wonderful The Pathfoot Press printing workshop this afternoon, with the knowledgeable @ScotsAntiquary and his interns. We even got to use the beautiful Columbian press, and this is the result! #RSVP2024

Quite literally trying to make an impression at the #RSVP2024 conference at University of Stirling !

The amazing finding of the day is that Harvard's Houghton Library holds no fewer than three collections of Punch's Pocket Book, plus many isolated volumes!

Another delightful discovery here at Houghton Library: one of the Punch's pocket books came with a volume containing original sketches by Leech, including a drawing of the 1853 opening page. Spot the differences!

Don't forget to join us next Friday, Oct. 11, for our next #RSVPDigEv with Leslie Howsam, who will present a "Challenge to Periodical Studies" through Eliza Orme's leader writing! Same time (8am PT/11am ET/4pm BT/5pm CET), same place (Zoom)! RSVP😉here: rs4vp.org/eliza-orme-dig…
