These accelerant detection K9s can navigate through dangerous situations during fire investigations. The K9s like their handlers train constantly to maintain a level of excellence in their physical capabilities and are able to respond at a moment’s notice when called upon.

The FDNY K-9 Climb Team is once again proud to join the 2nd Annual FDNY Foundation Climb to the SUMMIT. The FDNY K-9 Unit plays a crucial role in accelerant detection for the Bureau of Fire Investigations.

In response to the Monday’s fatal fire at 1126 E. 212 Street in the Bronx, the #FDNY Fire Safety Education Unit will be sharing lifesaving information in front of 3378 Boston Road, on the corner of Bouck Ave. until 2pm today.

Registrants in the FDNY Foundation's 2nd Annual Climb to SUMMIT will be participating alongside SL Green CFO and FDNY Foundation Vice Chairman, Matt DiLiberto. Matt's father was a firefighter and Matt has been a volunteer firefighter and EMT in New Jersey for over 25 years.
